I am an artist, art therapist, and mental health counselor whose creative practice is rooted in the belief that artmaking is a path toward balance, connection, and meaning. Working in an expressionist style, I explore the relationship between emotion, color, and form through layered combinations of pencil, oil pastel, and acrylic paint. In addition to painting, I create ceramic pieces that echo the organic shapes and natural rhythms found in my two-dimensional work. The tactile, hands-on nature of clay allows me to approach the process with a sense of play and curiosity, exploring texture, form, and groundedness through touch.
Inspired by nature, memory, and the quiet moments of reflection found in everyday life, my work captures not just the beauty of the landscape, but its emotional resonance—the sense of stillness, movement, and renewal that mirrors our inner experience. My background in art therapy deeply informs my creative process, helping me connect with the healing and transformative aspects of self-expression.
I create in my home studio, often with loud music playing, a cup of coffee nearby, and my dog at my side. I live with my husband and two boys, finding daily inspiration in the balance between family life, creative work, and the ongoing pursuit of connection through art.
