Molly Meier is an Indianapolis-based artist whose work is influenced by her time living in the southwest as an AmeriCorps volunteer and her work for the last 20 years as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Art Therapist. Her expressionism style of art is strongly influenced by her art therapy studies and her interest in how people find meaning and connection within their lives. Molly believes that finding balance leads to better health and making art and exploring spirituality through art help to find a sense of balance. Her landscapes exhibit a strong connection with nature and are informed by memories, dreams and regular hikes. Molly has a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art with a focus in Ceramic Sculpture from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in Art Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She stays busy with painting and ceramics in her home studio while also running a private practice focused on mental health counseling and art therapy. Molly lives with her husband and 2 children in Indianapolis, IN.
